Different environmental policies, active projects in the social field and commitments to internal management values make Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona an organisation involved with people and its environment. We carry out these actions on a daily basis and they are part of an ethical and responsible business code.

Solidarity with vulnerable families
We actively support different social projects in collaboration with the IRES Foundation www.fundacioires.org, which has been working since 1969 to provide comprehensive care to families in vulnerable situations so that they can build a new future.
- Since 2012, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona asks its guests to donate €1 for each stay they make. In this way we give our guests the opportunity to collaborate in first person with the commitment of IRES.
- La Suite Solidaria' is a campaign in which part of the proceeds from the Suite 225 during the summer months are donated to the foundation's projects.
- On such an emblematic date as Sant Jordi's Day (23 April) in Barcelona, in alliance with the IRES Foundation, the hotel carries out the campaign "A rose for a cause", in order to raise funds for families in vulnerable situations.

For a barrier-free world
We have an adapted room of category 'Type A' for people with severe disabilities. With this room, the Majestic is the first hotel in Spain to offer this pioneering service.
This is a room designed for people with reduced mobility, with the aim of facilitating their stay in the hotel, but without changing the aesthetics of the hotel itself.
It has up to 8 automatic electronic systems and 6 adaptations in the equipment that seek maximum autonomy and mobility for the client. Some of the features included in this room are: a crane over the bed in the bedroom that facilitates entry and exit; adapted access surfaces to the bathroom or shower and remote control of doors, windows and other electronic systems, among others.

Support for social actions
-We collaborate with the NGO Nutrición sin Fronteras in its "Share the Food" project, which consists of making the most of food resources, preventing food wastage and reducing the impact of poverty in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
We contribute to the initiative "La Nave: Banco de Productos no Alimentarios" which aims to redistribute non-food products to the most vulnerable people.
-We support the social action of proximity of the "Fundació Roure", which accompanies people in precarious situations and helps them to be as autonomous as possible to enjoy a dignified and responsible life.
